Do I need any technical skills?

None at all. Website Rentals is designed for business owners who want a great website without having to become a web developer. You provide your business information, logo and any photos or content you have, and we take care of everything else. If you do not have a logo or photos, let us know and we can advise on options. Yes. Website Rentals is an Australian business. We work with businesses right across Australia and understand the Australian small business market. All communication and support is handled by our team.

What does the website design process look like from start to finish?

The process has four simple steps. First, you choose the plan that suits your business. Second, you complete our onboarding form and tell us about your business, your services and what you need the site to do. Third, our team builds your website and sends you a preview link within 5 business days ready for your feedback. Fourth, you approve it and we launch it. How much does it cost to get a website with Website Rentals?

There is a one-off setup fee of $599 that applies to all plans. This covers the design and build of your website. After that you pay a simple monthly fee. The Landing Page plan is $99 per month, the 5 Page Website is $199 per month, and the Multi-Service Site is $299 per month. All prices exclude GST. There is a minimum term of 3 months on all plans, after which your plan continues month to month. See full pricing

What is the $599 setup fee for?

The $599 setup fee covers the complete design and build of your website. This includes custom design, page layout and structure, content placement, mobile optimisation and all the technical setup needed to get your site ready to launch. It is a one-off fee paid once and does not recur.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. The setup fee and your monthly plan are the only costs unless you request work outside your plan. Your monthly fee covers hosting, SSL security and your included content updates each month. Any additional work is quoted and agreed before we start. Nothing is charged without your approval.

Is there a lock-in contract?

There is a minimum term of 3 months on all plans. After your initial 3 months your plan continues on a month to month basis. You stay because the service works for your business, not because you are contractually obligated.

What is included in my monthly plan?

All monthly plans include fast secure hosting, SSL security certificate and a set number of content updates per month. The Landing Page plan includes 2 content updates per month, the 5 Page Website includes 3 updates per month, and the Multi-Service Site includes 5 updates per month. When does billing start?

You have 14 days from when you receive your site preview to review and approve it at no charge. Billing starts on day 15 whether your site is live or not. The monthly fee covers your hosting, security and ongoing management, all of which are active from the moment your site is built and ready. We recommend reviewing your preview promptly so you get the most from your free review period.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. If your business grows and you need more pages or more monthly updates you can upgrade your plan at any time. If a simpler plan suits you better you can downgrade at the end of your billing cycle. Get in touch and we will sort it out for you.

Can I add extra pages to my plan?

Yes. Additional pages can be added to any plan for $99 per page as a one-off fee. This covers the design and build of the additional page. Get in touch and we can discuss what you need.

How does billing work?

Your first monthly payment begins 14 days after you receive your site preview. After that you are billed on the same date each month. An invoice is sent to your email address each billing cycle.

Are monthly website fees tax deductible?

Monthly website subscription fees are generally considered a business operating expense and may be tax deductible. We recommend speaking with your accountant regarding your specific circumstances as individual situations vary.

What are the optional bolt-on add-ons?

Website Rentals offers three optional bolt-on add-ons available at checkout when you select your plan. The Priority Build is $199 one-off and gets your site ready to review within 3 business days of onboarding being completed. The SEO Setup is $299 one-off and establishes the technical foundations that help Google find and understand your site. The SEO + GEO Setup is $499 one-off and includes everything in SEO Setup plus content and structural work to give your site the best chance of being picked up by AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. How long does it take to build my website?

Most websites are built and ready for you to review within 5 business days of receiving your content and brief. This is the build time, not the go-live time. How quickly your site goes live after that depends on how quickly you review and approve it.

What if I don't have copy or content ready?

No problem at all. In nearly every case we help clients get started and write the copy for them. In fact most clients prefer our suggested copy over what they had originally written themselves. Just tell us about your business, what you do and who your customers are, and we will take care of the rest.

What information do I need to provide?

To get started we need your business name, contact details, a description of your services, your logo if you have one, and any photos or images you want to use. If you do not have professional photos let us know and we can advise on options. The more content you can provide upfront the faster we can build your site.

How many revision rounds do I get?

The number of revision rounds included depends on your plan. The Landing Page plan includes 1 round, the 5 Page Website includes 2 rounds and the Multi-Service Site includes 3 rounds. A revision round is one consolidated list of changes submitted at once. Additional rounds are available at $150 each and apply during the build phase only.

What counts as a revision round?

A revision round is one consolidated list of changes sent to us at once. We action everything in one go. Examples include wording updates, layout tweaks, colour changes and adding or moving sections. Once your included rounds are used, additional rounds are $150 each.

What if I already have a website?

No problem. We can replace your existing website or connect your new site to your existing domain. Our team handles all the technical side. Most clients who switch from an existing website are up and running with their new site within a week.

How long do revisions take during the build?

We aim to turn revisions around as quickly as possible but please allow up to 3 business days from when your revision is submitted. In most cases we will be faster than that but the 3 business day window ensures we can deliver quality work consistently.

What image format do I need to provide?

We work with standard image formats. If you need a transparent background on any image you must provide a transparent PNG file. We are not able to edit or retouch photos or remove backgrounds as part of your plan. Photo editing is available as additional work at our standard hourly rate. Providing clear well-lit images in the correct format helps us build your site faster and to a higher standard. Get in touch

What counts as a monthly content update?

A monthly content update covers text changes, swapping or adding images, updating contact details and adding or changing a promotion. It does not cover new pages, layout or structural changes, new functionality or redesigning existing sections. Need more? Additional updates and custom work are available at our standard rate.

What if I need more updates than my plan includes?

You can add the Extra Update Pack as a monthly add-on for $79 per month which adds 2 additional content updates per month. One-off work beyond your plan is available at our standard rate of $180 per hour, quoted and agreed before we start.

Can I request custom work or new features?

Yes. If you need a new page, a new section, a form or a custom feature we can quote this as additional work. All additional work is billed at $180 per hour and agreed with you before we begin. Nothing is done or charged without your approval first.

How do I get in touch or request support?

All communication and support is handled via email. There is no phone support. During your onboarding process you will be provided with a dedicated support email address for all requests, updates and approvals. You can also get in touch at any time via the contact form on our contact page. We work entirely in writing so every request, update and approval is clearly documented and nothing gets lost. You can expect a response within one business day.

What happens if my website goes down?

We monitor all websites on our platform. If something goes wrong we aim to identify and resolve it quickly. All sites include a 99.9% uptime hosting guarantee, SSL security and regular backups. If you notice an issue contact us via email and we will make it a priority.

Who manages the hosting and security?

We do. Hosting, SSL security certificates and website security are all managed by us as part of your monthly plan. You never need to deal with a hosting provider, manage renewals or worry about security patches. We handle all of it in the background.

What is the best way to request changes to my website?

All change requests should be submitted via email to your dedicated support email address provided during onboarding. To help us action your request as quickly as possible, please include all changes in a single email rather than sending multiple separate requests. Clearly describe what needs to change and where on the site it appears. If you are providing new images please attach them to the same email in the correct format. One clear consolidated email means faster turnaround and nothing gets missed.

How long do monthly content updates take?

Please allow up to 3 business days from when your update request is submitted. We aim to be faster than that in most cases but 3 business days is our standard turnaround. Submitting your request clearly and in one go helps us action it faster.

Can I use my own hosting provider?

No. All websites built by Website Rentals are hosted on our platform as part of your monthly plan. We do not build websites for external hosting providers. This ensures we can manage performance, security and updates consistently across all client sites. Your hosting is included in your monthly fee and managed entirely by us. See pricing

Can I have videos on my website?

We do not embed videos directly on your website. Embedded videos significantly slow down page loading times which affects both user experience and search visibility. If you have video content we are happy to link to your YouTube channel or individual videos from your website. This keeps your site fast and your videos accessible.

Is SEO included in my plan?

Every website we build follows good technical practice including proper page structure, clean code, fast loading speeds, mobile responsiveness and SSL security. These are the foundations every well-performing website needs. Dedicated SEO services including keyword research, on-page optimisation and Google Search Console setup are available as an optional bolt-on add-on.

What is the SEO Setup bolt-on?

The SEO Setup bolt-on is a one-off $299 service that establishes the technical SEO foundations for your website. This includes meta titles and descriptions for every page, H1/H2/H3 structure reviewed and optimised, image alt tags, XML sitemap submitted to Google, Google Search Console setup and verified, Google Business Profile setup or audit, schema markup added and Bing Webmaster Tools setup. It is done once and does not recur.

What is GEO and why does it matter for my business?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It is the practice of structuring and writing your website content so that AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Bing Copilot are more likely to reference and recommend your business when people ask questions related to your services. As more Australians use AI tools to find local businesses and services, being visible in AI-generated answers is becoming increasingly important. Our SEO + GEO Setup bolt-on is designed to give your site the best chance of being found in both traditional search and AI-powered search.

What is the difference between SEO Setup and SEO + GEO Setup?

SEO Setup focuses on the technical foundations that help Google find and understand your site. SEO + GEO Setup includes everything in SEO Setup plus content and structural work specifically designed to help AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews find and recommend your business.
